Collection: Weavings

I grew up in Gander, N.L., Canada, where cottages are called “cabins,” and lakes are “ponds,” no matter how large they might be. As a kid, I played out in the woods and built forts, or spent my days down by the wharf to fish cunners or collect snails and rocks. I made crafts with my Nan, who was always making something– she’s the one who bought me my first loom.

I still remember the day she bought it.  I was immediately charmed by it, playing with the loom all the way home. To this day, I find weaving to be meditative and methodical; bringing harmony to the chaos of loose threads.
